The Lindy 38167 HDMI 4K Audio Extractor is an effective solution for extracting audio from a HDMI source to both digital and analogue audio devices, while sending the video signal to a 4K display or projector. This is a perfect solution for connecting Non-HDMI AV receivers, or analogue 2-channel speaker setups to an HDMI source device, while also ideal for extracting audio and video to a display that requires separate speakers such as a PC monitor.
The extractor supports high quality 4096x2160@30Hz resolutions with additional pass-through support for CEC, to allow source devices to be controlled from a TV control, and HDCP 1.4, this is ideal for use with source devices such as set top boxes, games consoles and Blu-Ray Players.
This audio extractor allows output to both digital formats via Optical and HDMI and analogue via L/R connections, ensuring seamless compatibility with an amplifier, sound bar or 2-channel speaker setup. With support for multi-channel audio including DTS: HD and Dolby Digital 5.1, this device will ensure an impressive three-dimensional surround sound performance to compliment films, games and music when connected to an audio device. The 3.5mm analogue connection ensures 2-channel speaker set ups can also be connected to the extractor.
Featuring a neat switch to fully control which source audio EDID is used and the ability to be powered via USB from the source or display device, the extractor provides simple use and installation, great for both AV installations in the home or in commercial settings. With a minimalist and stylish design, it can also be hidden out of sight to compliment the popular trend of discreet AV installations.
