What is an AV Power Amplifier?

An AV Power amplifier is a dedicated amplifer which provides power to one or more speakers in a HiFi or AV environment.
Typcially they are used when the system in a home cinema requires significantly more power than the current AV receiver can produce, they also provide better control of the Drivers which subsequently gives a better, faster, tighter and more controlled sound in the home cinema room.

AV Power amplifiers connect to your AV Receiver through the correct outputs on your pre-amp or AV receiver. You will need to ensure your AV Receiver has the right connections before purchasing. The Marantz AV10 and AMP10 are a perfect combination.
