    The A’Diva was created by taking the key ingredients of the classic Gallo Acoustics Micro speaker design and marrying them to a larger enclosure, creating a little loudspeaker with a surprisingly big sound.

    While maintaining the famous clean and neutral sound that is our trademark, the A’Diva does develop a bigger, fuller sound than its smaller stable mate.

    Just an inch larger than the Micro, the 5″ diameter A’Diva frees up an extra half octave of bass, and the improved low frequency response (76Hz to 20kHz) makes it a very compelling option for the audiophile who wants a compact speaker with a ‘big’ sound, and clear, precise dispersion. It also means that A’Diva can be used without the addition of a subwoofer in many applications.

    A’Diva can be mounted practically anywhere, in cabinets or on book shelves for example, without exciting bass resonance problems. Thanks to its low distortion and incredibly coherent sound, the highly adaptable A’Diva can be used just about anywhere, including two channel stereo, home cinema, multimedia, multi-room and custom installations.

    A’Diva shares a version of Anthony Gallo’s acclaimed 3″ drive unit (as used in the Micro) and can be mixed and matched with other Gallo speakers in a home cinema set-up. The A’Diva for example, makes a perfect centre channel speaker in a Micro 5.1 system.

    We have a wide range of accessories that enable A’Diva to be wall-mounted, installed in-ceiling, positioned on a table or desktop, or installed in-ceiling.

    A’Diva benefits from the same patented technologies and physical advantages as the award winning Micro. By using a spherical enclosure we have eliminated internal resonance and external diffraction, the two main causes of loudspeaker distortion. In addition, by having no crossover A’Diva is endowed with unparalleled spatial characteristics.

    A’Diva is an easy-to-drive 8 Ohm design of moderately high efficiency, with power handling specified at 50 watts full range and 100 watts when used as a small speaker in home cinema applications.

    Just like our Micro and Strada 2 loudspeakers, A’Diva is ideally paired with our acclaimed TR-3D subwoofer.

    A’Diva is available in a range of 11 standard colours to complement any room, from neutral matt white to vivid blue and rich metallic bronze. For special projects, our SPECTRUM bespoke colour matching service opens up a world of colour choices from the Pantone and RAL colour systems.

    Each A’Diva is supplied with our new Isolation2 surface mount – a minimalist aluminium and silicon rubber ring engineered to allow easy placement on a table or shelf while maintaining acoustic integrity.

    The A’Diva’s redesigned all-metal terminal area now includes nickel heads and gold plated posts, allowing connection via standard-sized banana plugs as well as the option to use a heavier gauge of speaker cable up to 4mm in diameter.

    THINKING DIFFERENTLY

    Gallo Acoustics don’t produce ordinary speakers, they don’t make boxy designs in their line-up simply because they believe there’s a better way.
    With over 20 years of spherical loudspeaker design, the award winning Gallo Acoustic Speakers are designed around spheres, eliminating resonance and internal diffraction, the two main causes of loudspeaker distortion.
    At Gallo Acoustics they produce some of the world’s finest compact speaker systems, blending hi-fi performance and contemporary industrial design, wrapped them all up in an installation and decor-friendly package, and importantly guarantee exceptional, expansive sound to spaces large and small.

    DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGIES

    Spherical Design: Since inception Gallo’s trademark has been the use of a spherical enclosures in their speaker designs. The Nucleus Solo, their first loudspeaker design, began as a solid aluminium disc which was then spun into a hollow 12″ ball. The spheres were then placed in an electrolytic bath, which formed a hard shell that actually bonded to the metal. This anodising process give their enclosures the mechanical properties of a ceramic, one of the most acoustically inert materials on earth. This combination of spherical geometry and anodised aluminium construction made this enclosure virtually free of resonance and diffraction, the two main causes of loudspeaker distortion. Similarly, the properties of heat-treated and powder-coated steel give their smaller, 4″ Micro and 5″ A’Diva loudspeakers the same enclosure characteristics.

    S2 Technology: Employed in all of their loudspeaker products, their proprietary S2 technology extends low frequency response two full octaves lower than would otherwise be possible in relation to the speaker’s size. S2 technology improves ‘Volumetric Efficiency’ – in other words, how the speaker’s drivers perceive the size of their enclosure. Normally a speaker’s volumetric efficiency is between 1 and 2, their S2 technology gives us a rating of 10. This means that their speakers operate as if their enclosure was 10 times its actual size.

    CDT: Gallo Acoustic’s patented CDT technology, as employed in their Strada 2 model, is made up of a diaphragm membrane made of Kynar™, a cutting-edge aerospace plastic. This diaphragm is then coated with pure silver because of its high conductivity and reliability, next they silver solder high quality, oxygen-free copper wires to each end of the diaphragm. Finally, the diaphragm assembly is tightly wrapped around a rigid polypropylene core. This inner core acts as attenuation for the driver’s back-wave. Unlike conventional drivers, the CDT doesn’t use voice coils or magnets, instead the signal is passed across the conductive surface of the diaphragm, which attempts to expand, while the shape of the driver supplies the necessary restorative forces.
